What’s Happening in Texas? One of the best things about summer in Texas is that there is no shortage of things to do around the state. Many awesome events occur in August, ranging from fairs to rodeos and even multiple festivals. I think some of these events are a great way to spend just a little more time with the family before school starts back up in the fall. Consequently, I have put together a small list of some cool events happening across the state. If interested, it might be time to plan a family road trip!

• August 20^th – AIA Sandcastle Competition in Galveston, Texas
• On August 20^th – 21^st – Montgomery County Home and Outdoor Living Show in Conroe, Texas.
• August 25-28^th – Gillespie County Fair in Fredericksburg, Texas – Which is the oldest continuous county fair in Texas!
• On August 27^th – Bat Fest in Austin, Texas
