Things To Do in Texas this Month: Even though it is still pretty cold outside, there are plenty of things to do across the state of Texas. Between rodeos starting to pick up and even county fairs, one of the most popular events this month is Mardi Gras.

-San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo – February 9th – 26th – In San Antonio – Since 1949, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has grown to become one of the largest, most prestigious single events in the city of San Antonio, with approximately 1.5 million visitors entering the grounds each year. -Mardi Gras! Galveston – February 10th – 21st – In Galveston – Mardi Gras! Galveston is held annually during the two weeks preceding Lent. The 2023 celebrations will take place February 10th – 21st, 2023, with festivities held on both weekends and Fat Tuesday. Learn more here.
-Matagorda County Fair – February 11th – March 4th – In Bay City – Have a meaningful Agricultural learning experience. The entertainment format will have lifelong memories for the young and the young at heart. The Fair runs for three weekends. The fourth and final week is filled with Livestock Shows and the PRCA Rodeo. Learn more here.
-Whooping Crane Festival – February 23rd – 26th – In Port Aransas – Each year since 1996, the Whooping Crane Festival has celebrated the annual return of the cranes to their wintering habitat at the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. The Texas Coastal Bend is the only place where you can see the world’s last naturally occurring population of Whooping Cranes. Learn more here.
