September Gardening Tips

September Gardening TipsSeptember Gardening Tips: September is an important month when it comes to your garden, especially because there are so many vegetables that can be planted this month. The Houston area is in Region III. Therefore, a good amount of your fall garden can be planted during this month. According to the AgriLife Extension table, starting September 1st you can plant Snap Beans, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cucumber, and even Potatoes.

Halfway through the month, you can also add Kohlrabi and Summer Squash. One of the best suggestions that I can offer is to focus on the varieties you choose to plant. That is just as important as when you plant your garden. We have many seeds and plants for you to choose from at Arcola Feed. We also have numerous gardening experts that can help you make some of those choices!
