The Fort Bend County Fair is just over 4 months away, NOW is the time to prepare your show animals! If you have a steer or heifer, and you haven’t already started on your supplement program, do it now in order to have your animal in its BEST condition.

You should be weighing your feed to know how much, BY WEIGHT you are feeding your animal. You should also be weighing your animal on a weekly basis. Make sure you are on target for weight come show day.

If you weigh your feed AND your animal weekly, you can easily track weight progression and know approximately how much your animal will weigh come fair time.

Make adjustments to your feeding and supplement program to push or hold. This early intervention can prevent the TWO-week frenzy to make weight that invariably happens if you are not closely monitoring feed intake and conversion.
