National Veterinary Technician Week

National Veterinary Technician Week This week marks the start of National Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week. This event was first celebrated in 1993. Thanks to all the hard-working vet techs that work every day to keep our pets happy and healthy.

We all know how important veterinarians are in our communities. However, we sometimes forget the unsung heroes of the veterinary word – the veterinary technicians. Vet techs are like nurses in human medicine. For example, they are advocates for their patients and assist veterinarians day-to-day. Did you know that licensed veterinary technicians must go to school for at least 2 years? They are even required to complete continuing education!

Next time you take one of your pets to get a checkup, please say thank you to not only the technician but also all veterinary support staff. Here at Arcola Feed, we would like to personally thank all veterinary technicians that work night and day and share their love of animals with the world.

Come visit us! We are open Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit us at 6215 FM 521 Arcola, Texas 77583 or contact us 281-431-1014.

In conclusion, THANK YOU vet techs! Happy National Veterinary Technician Week!
