National Cat Day
Today is National Cat Day! If you have been to the store in the past year or so, you have probably met our resident cat, Timothy. “Tim, Timmy, Turd or Jackass,” as he is sometimes called.
He was a dumpster kitty, and has been with his since he was about 6 weeks old. Except for that time when he went missing, because he jumped into a customer’s car, got out at the Walgreens near Teal Run, and lived on the street in Teal Run for a few weeks before being picked up by Animal Control and going to the shelter in Rosenberg.
We searched desperately for him. I got a late night text from one of our customers asking if this cat that had been hanging around a home in Teal Run was ours. She forwarded me the picture. Sure enough, it was HIM! I went to the house, but he was not there. He had already been picked up by Animal Control and was at the shelter in Rosenberg. Jose made the trip to the other side of the county and picked him up.
He was actually pretty thin from living on the street the past few weeks. Tim now likes to spend his days sleeping on the counter, and eating his favorite CBD treats. Come say hi, and if he gets anywhere NEAR your vehicle, please chase him away. He is microchipped and wears a collar with 3 tags, but you still just never know…
In conclusion, happy National Cat Day!
