Mosquito Repellent

The mosquitoes are HORRIBLE!How To Keep Mosquitoes Away - Geting Rid of Mosquitoes
Livestock suffers as much as people and pets from these biting nasty pests!
Do your chickens have sores or black spots on their faces or combs?  Or, even worse, are they sneezing, coughing, gasping for breath, or even dying? If so, you probably have pox. Pox is spread by mosquitoes, is highly contagious, and can be deadly.  Start by keeping your water dishes, pans, etc clean and free of mosquito larvae.  Mow and weed eat your poultry area and surrounding areas to keep the mosquitoes from breeding in standing water.
You can use mosquito repellent dust in your yard or pen, and you can also use many of the spray products that we sell in and around your chicken pens and enclosures. We sell a permethrin concentrate in two sizes that you can mix up on your own and put in a spray bottle.  Add a little citronella oil to it for an extra kick! You can use Pyranha spray around your chickens, too! It’s an awesome fly spray and works on your pets, too! Come in to the feed store and we can get you started on your bug control!
