We will be having our Low Cost Rabies Vaccination Clinic tomorrow. The veterinarian and his staff will be here from 9 a.m. to noon. No appointment is needed, as clients are seen on a first come, first served basis.

Dogs MUST be on a leash, and cats need to be in a carrier, and preferably leashed or harnessed. There is no exam fee and rabies vaccines are $15. Other vaccines are available as well, in different packages.

If you don’t currently have your dogs on heart-worm prevention, PLEASE get them tested. This test requires a simple blood draw, and takes less than ten minutes. Heart-worm disease is COMPLETELY preventable, but dogs must be negative to be started on prevention. Puppies under six months of age do not need to be tested, as it takes six months for heart-worms to develop. Heart-worm prevention costs a lot less than treatment, and heart-worm disease is not always curable if your pet is old or not in the best health prior to starting treatment. So do yourself and your pet a favor and get them on prevention.
