Labor Day is Today

Labor Day is TodayLabor Day is Today: Labor Day is one of those federal holidays that is great! First of all, it helps give you a little break after transitioning back to the regular schedule. Let’s face it, September is one of those months that seems to slowly pass. The kids have gone back to school and summer break is over. Labor Day is celebrated on the first Monday in the month of September. Above all, it honors the American Labor movement and all of those that fought hard to get us to where we are today.

Some interesting facts about Labor Day, is that it became a national holiday in 1894. It is unofficially the “end of summer.” Labor Day is also a great day for shopping as many companies use this day to plan large sales. Actually, the only day with more sale is Black Friday.

Even though we are closed at Arcola Feed on Labor Day, feel free to swing on in any other day to see what we offer or even just come by and hang out. We are normally open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
