How to Tell if Your Eggs are Fresh
Do you ever wonder if the eggs in your refrigerator or still good BEFORE you crack the shell? Have you ever cracked an egg into a recipe and THEN realized that egg was WAY past freshness? If so, we’re here to help!
Here is a quick and easy way to tell if your eggs are fresh:
Simply fill a bowl or pot with about 4 inches of water. Drop your egg in, and watch that egg to see what it does in the water. A freshly laid egg with lay flat on the bottom. As the egg starts to age, it will slowly turn, and start to float towards the top of the water. It will start by slightly tipping upward, and gradually that egg will float with the tip down, and the top portion of the egg sticking straight up out of the water. THAT egg needs to be tossed.
