We have managed to gentle most of our calves by offering treats to them. In fact, we have a few of them, that are pretty much “in your back pocket” looking for treats. It is amazing how gentle they have become, even though we are only there once a week for about 24 hours at a time. This little guy has already been haltered a couple of times by Jay while he eats his treats, and gets scratches with a stick or show stick.
