February Garden Tips 2021

Planting seed potatoes in your February garden

We’re back with our February garden tips! #Howdoesyourgardengrow

Did you know, February is a garden transition month, marking the end of some crops and the beginning of others in our south Texas area.  Mustard, radish, and turnips can all go in the ground now! Radishes will be mature and ready to eat in as little as 22 days with some varieties!
While many herbs are frost sensitive, you can go ahead and plant your parsley now, too! If you want to try your hands at the Irish varieties of potatoes, they can go in the ground now. The most common types of Irish potatoes are red or white.
The days are starting to get a little longer, and spring is right around the corner!
